National Ships Bell Award 2009


THE NATIONAL SHIP’S BELL AWARD
Any squadron, district or national officer may nominate a person, group or organization, in or outside the USPS for this honor. The nominee must have made a substantial contribution in some form with a broad impact to the promotion of the USPS efforts to provide safe boating education. The application is a written petition with substantial documentation of the nominee’s works submitted to the Chair of the National M/PR Committee.
The recipients to date have included
1. a national corporation,(Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company)
2. a USPS district, a newspaper(The Sun Newspaper)
3. a squadron safety officer who wrote hundreds of published newspaper articles( Lt William B. Hempel.
4. a PRO from Vero Beach, named Robert Scully 2009 – The SHOTGUN Approach, Technology Mayhem, “FREE 4 ALL”
