Posted to YourHub Contributed by: Robert Scully on 1/22/2009

There is a Florida Statue number 327.395 that requires anyone, 21 and under, operating a boat with a motor of 10 hp or more, need to pass a boating education program and carry proof of this while operating a boat in Florida, in the form of a boating education Id card and a photo ID card.

For more details go to Florida Statutes 327.395 or http://myfwc.com/boating/safety/education_law.htm

To help the community we, the Vero Beach Power Squadron, provide a service to Indian River County by offering various Safe Boating Courses throughout the year in Vero Beach at 301 Acacia Road, next to the Barber Bridge and the McWilliams Boat launch facility.

We have a web site (http://www.verobeachps.com/) where we post classes and lots of other information about the squadron. Periodically we post advertisements in the Press Journal, so keep an eye out. We also list classes on - http://tc.yourhub.com/VEROBEACH, http://www.verobeach.com/clubs_organizations.html, http://www.chamberhub.com/cgi/foxweb.dll/wlx/dir/wlxdirecatn?catid=518&cc=IRCCC

Something for 2009 - Weekend Classes (Saturday and Sunday) Americas Boating Course is open to the Public. The cost is $30 per person. Please pre register www.verobeachps.com/ or call Howard at 772-978-9769.
