I was wondering if you could pass on the info below to the appropriate FL squadrons in your District (15, 22 and 8).The FWC has a great web page which advertises, among other events, basic boating courses that are being offered statewide. (I suspect that this site is used by violators who are court mandated to take the course). It appears that this opportunity could be better utilized: While there are approximately 33 squadrons in FL (includes D23, which is mine) only 13 squadrons have posted 28 courses, Pensacola leading the pack with 7 courses. To take advantage of this free publicity, go toand look for the titles ABC boating Safety or About Boating Safety.First you will have to register; after receiving the FWC confirmation, send your request to list your course to Edward Cates atedward.cates@myfwc.com with the following info:Course Title (from web site): ABC About Boating SafetySquadron Name If the squadron name does not describe the location, then list the nearest city (we used Melbourne for Banana River)Date: Time:Place: Name of facility________________________Boating Course: ABC3 8-hour with on-the-water boat handling instructionOnline registration allowed Your web siteCost $Contact _________________Telephone _____________Contact e-mail _____________________Regards,
