Bill,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for you help this year. I had fun doing what I do with the VBPS. This coming year I move into the Admin Officers slot and do the PRO job as well. The attached is my cut at the NPR102S for VBPS 2010 Cooperative Advertising Squadron Planning.

Do I still send this data your way? Do I also send you the NPR 102 Request for Reimbursement on 4-1-2010 (period covered 12-1-2009 to Feb 28, 2010) , 7-1-2010 ( period covered March 1 to May 31) , 10-1-2010 ( period covered June 1- to Aug 31) and 1-1-2011 ( period covered Sept 1 to November 30).

My paperwork says I should be sending data to Staff Commander for Cooperative Advertising (SCCA). Is that you for 2010. Then you or the SCCA sends it along to HQ by the 15th of the month.

Do you need hardcopy via US Mail or do emails work for you. What address do I send this to if we need to go by US Postal Service?

Bob -
There's an entirely new set of Guidelines for the Co-Op Advertising program. It's now based on a squadron's educational sales and is handled entirely through headquarters. The PR/Marketing site on www.usps.org has all the details.
Merry Christmas, Bill

BoatFlorida.com Inquiry

Robert,

Thanks for your email. We have worked closely with several other Power
Squadrons and Auxiliaries in the state on our other sites throughout
Florida. Almost of our content is member/user generated.

We make many exceptions to non-profit organizations such as the Power
Squadron;
therefore, you can really take advantage of the exposure. In exchange, we
ask you to tell your members about the BoatFlorida.com network and put a
link on your site back to ours. Some suggestions and ideas we have are-

a.. Have a few members of the organization delegated as contributors that
sign up and create a profile on the BoatTreasureCoast.com site.

b. Post your events in the calendar of events, especially those that the
general boating public would be interested in such as classes, inspections,
and training.

c.. Setup a group for the Power Squadron on the website. You can see some
good
examples of groups like yours on our Brevard site at
http://www.boatbrevard.com/group/bananariversailpowersquadronmembergroup and
at
http://www.boatbrevard.com/group/citizensforfloridaswaterwayscffwmembersgroup .

I encourage you to sign up to the Brevard site and then join these groups so
you can see all the details. Groups can also be set to private so that you
control who signs up for them and only approved people can have access to
it.

d.. Participate with discussions and blogs posting safety related and
Power Squadron related material.

Thanks,
John

Public Relations for the VBPS

To my friends,

I plan to keep this as the PR site for 2010. I have started another BLOG called VBPS2010 which I will use for the job as the Admin Officer. Its should be an interesting year.
